Intake One
In February 2009, the federal and provincial governments announced joint funding of more than $685 million for 290 projects in Ontario communities under Intake One of the Communities Component.
More than 300 applications with total project costs of more than $1.5 billion were received during the first intake, which opened on September 12, 2008, and closed on November 21, 2008.
